Catalina Miles

Chilean producer, screenwriter, and director. Born in 1999 in Santiago de Chile. A graduate of the Film and Television program at  Universidad de Chile, she has gained extensive experience across multiple areas of the industry, including film, television, documentary, and advertising content. This diversity has allowed her to develop a versatile and committed approach to storytelling in its various forms.

Currently, she works as executive producer and co-founder of Cherries Media, a company known for promoting innovative audiovisual projects aimed at young audiences. She also collaborates as producer with Villano Producciones and Malagüero Films, actively participating in the development and execution of various creative initiatives.

Her credits include work as executive production assistant on the feature film Hangar Rojo (Chile • Fiction), currently in post-production; as production assistant on the fiction series El Día Menos Pensado (Chile • TV) for TVN; and on the documentary Golpe a Chile (Chile • Documentary) for UChileTV. She also contributed to the production of the short film Éramos Eternas (Chile • Fiction), currently in post-production.

In 2023, she made her debut as a producer with Mi País de Bolsillo (Chile • Documentary • 2023), a short film that premiered as part of the short circuit segment of the University of Chile’s television channel.

In addition to her work as a producer, Catalina has ventured into developing her own projects as a screenwriter, crafting original stories that reflect her creative signature as well as that of Cherries Media. Among these are the series Sabor a Cereza (Chile • Fiction) and Cabras Piola (Chile • Fiction), two narratives that delve into contemporary themes and feature fresh, authentic characters drawn from Chile’s youthful and popular imagination.

In 2025, she spearheads the development of Los Cantos de Venus (Chile • Fiction), a feature film directed by Nacho Pincheira, in which she serves as executive producer. The project was awarded the 2025 Audiovisual Fund —original screenplay and literary adaptation— by Chile’s Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage. That same year, she collaborates as development producer on Chicago’s Ferris Wheel (Chile • Fiction), directed by César González Álvarez, another recipient of the 2025 Audiovisual Fund in the same category, further consolidating her role as a storyteller grounded in local identity with international scope.

In parallel, Catalina strengthens the work of Malagüero TV, joining the casting and journalistic research team for Amor a Ciegas (Chile • TV). She also launches the development of The Heretic Fire (Chile • Fiction), an audiovisual project currently in its initial phase of writing and planning.
